Evening of sharing a meal together for Maundy Thursday. And taking time to reflect. We heard the Holy Week story and took some time to bring a candle to surround the cross, remembering the love of Christ.
Good message from Diana Butler Bass on this day we'll gather around a table for our Maundy Thursday simple feast (6pm tonight). If you can't come tonight, join us for Holy Communion on a first Sunday of the month, or for our Pentecost Potluck Picnic on June 9 following worship. Or remember her message as you gather around any table with others.

The Sunday School kids got to paint the new beehive!! They created a colorful home for our bees!
Thanks to everyone who came out to eat at Saturday's spaghetti supper! Proceeds go to the church service trip to Alamosa this summer. Our youth and adult volunteers appreciate your support! By the way, the service trip isn't just for youth this year. Talk to someone in Christian Ed if you want to know more.
Kids (elementary age and youth) will be painting the new bee hive boxes for the garden during Sunday school this Sunday. No, the bees aren't in there yet. We're getting them decorated for the bees! Kids, come add your colors!

UCC Summer Opportunity for young adults ages 19 & above: Summer Communities of Service (SCOS) is a leadership program for young adults aged 19 and above. Summer Communities focuses on intersecting faith communities, service and justice advocacy. This national network is part of the joint work of the United Church of Christ and the Alliance of Baptists. Participants live and serve from late May to early August in host congregations around the United States. Housing, Food, Health Insurance and a $1,000 summer stipend is provided. Children's Time was about One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) today. We talked about what we can do in an hour, and how we can help others when they're in need. OGHS is a disaster relief fund that aids people in the US & around the world.

Use your own creativity to make jigsaw puzzle valentines for shut-ins and other family & friends, Sunday after worship. Light lunch provided. Worship begins at 10am. Lunch around 11, creative time soon after!
The kids got to use the puppets today in worship to top off our Stewardship campaign on this Celebration Sunday. We were reminded of what we do with our Church's wider mission in our community & the world alongside the work that goes on weekly within our walls. We turned in our pledges and joined together for a potluck meal after worship. 😀 (I was a bit slow pushing the button for the "hip hip hooray, but you get the idea. --Patty)
